John Dice

John Phillip Dice, 66, of Colonial Heights, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 13, 2018. Born on June 18, 1952 in Petersburg, he was the son of Jean Baugh Dice and the late Edward Rodger Dice Sr. John was a life time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served over 20 years as a Petersburg City Firefighter, later in life he was an accountant and bookkeeper. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Linda P. Dice; son, Gary Phillip Dice of Colonial Heights; grandsons, Kasey Stephens, Edward Dice and Chase Dice; granddaughter, Tiffany Dice; brothers, Edward Dice Jr. of Pensacola, Florida and Jimmy Dice (Barbara) of Dinwiddie; sisters, Kim Adams (Jeff) of Prince George and Sandra Perkinson (Ronnie) of Norlina, North Carolina; nephew, Nick Adkins; and nieces, Eva Dice and Susan Real (Rob).
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W. Washington Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23803, with Father Brian Capuano, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday prior to the service at church.
