John H. "Jackie" Dobrick Sr., 76, of Chester, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012. Born in Maryland, he was the son of the late Herbert R. and Grace Oakley Dobrick. Mr. Dobrick was retired from the Army National Guard with 30 years of service, a member of the National Guard Rifle Team, an avid bowler, and a former employee of the Bowling Center at Fort Lee. He is survived by his loving partner, Cathy Laskowski; his children, Johnny Dobrick and wife, Tina, Tommy Dobrick, Kathy Moore, and David Dobrick; stepchildren, Anne, Rachel and Jean; grandchildren, Heather, Brittany and Tabitha Moore, Thomas and Jonathan Dobrick, Eric and Kelly Dobrick, Maranda and Crystal Chirkinian; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald, Robert and Harry Dobrick; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831 with Fr. Lou Ruoff officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
