John Curtis Edwards John Curtis Edwards, 59, of Dinwiddie, formally of Colonial Heights, died of cancer at Southside Regional Medical Center on Monday, June 3, 2013. Mr. Edwards was the son of the late Calvin M. and Nell G. Edwards Sr., and was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Scott Edwards. He retired after 30 plus years from his Drywall business. Mr. Edwards is survived by: his wife of 37 years, Barbara W. Edwards; a son, John Curtis Edwards Jr.; two grandchildren, Keegan L. Edwards, and Gage C. Edwards; a brother, Calvin M. Edwards Jr.; a sister and brother-in-law, Debby Williams and husband Cary Williams; two very loyal sisters-in-law, Karen Sparkman and Sharon Barchanowicz; numerous nieces; and nephews; and his beloved dog, "Hank". A funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 8, 2013 in Grace Baptist Church 23814 River Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 with the Reverend Raleigh Nunnally officiating.
