John Lewis Hack, Jr., 94, of Colonial Heights passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022. He was born on March 16, 1928 in Petersburg, Virginia to the late Marie and John L. Hack, Sr., and was also preceded in death by his siblings, Joe Hack, Beverly Hopkins, and Connie Hack.
John served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and worked as an appliance repairman at Martin Appliances for many years. Eventually he started his own business known as Hack’s Appliance Service. John loved being on the water, especially boating and water skiing. His favorite place to be was at his Lake Gaston home where he made many happy memories with his family for 27 years.
John is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara Long Hack; daughter, Stacy Sandry (Filippo); and grandchildren, Corbin Broach (Kaitlyn), Tyler Broach, and Peyton Broach.
All services will remain private as per John’s wish. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA, 23834.
