John Edward ‘Ed" Holzner, 94, of Colonial Heights, died on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Chippenham Medical Center. He was the son of the late Charles and Lena Muhlfelder Holzner. Mr. Holzner was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired painter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Holzner; his sister, Elizabeth Cuenin; and a niece, Kathryn Brubaker. Mr. Holzner is survived by a sister, Rose Foster of Mississippi, nephew Michael C. Cuenin, nieces, Betsy Dane, Barbara Kopswya, Carol Robison, nephew Charles Foster. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 151 West Washington Street, Petersburg with Fr. Michael Renninger, Celebrant. Burial to follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to Mass at church.
