John Franklin Pearce, 77, of Colonial Heights passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019. Born November 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Franklin May and Zelma Nugent Pearce, and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Shelton Pearce. John worked in sales most of his life and most recently retired as General Manager of Oakwood Mobile Homes after 16 years of service. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, John relished cruising the roads on his Kawasaki. He was a very talented billiards player, enjoyed fishing, loved cheering on his beloved Washington Redskins, and cherished the time spent with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Fuller Pearce; children, Stacy Pearce Turner and husband, Rick, Lynn Tucker and husband, David, Kristi Renee Pearce, Tammy Ferrell and husband, Bobby, Kim Allen; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Ellen Pearce Brunow and husband, Steve; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. on Friday night, July 5, 2019 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
