John Riston Jr.

John Thomas Riston Jr. "Big John," 52, of Sutherland, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Parham HealthCare & Rehabilitation Center. He was the son of the late Ada Donahue Riston and John T. Riston Sr. Big John was the owner of Big John's Mobile Welding Service. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Billie A. Riston; his mother-in-law, Elsie W. Allen of Richmond; two aunts, Ola Little of Hopewell, and Jo Ann Harris and husband, Stan of Seffner, Florida; a god daughter, Jessica L. Bish of Richmond; several cousins; and special friends, Brenda Adams, Lyn Smith, Scott Bishop, and James LeBlanc. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Bishop's Towing & Repair, 6844D Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 (Dinwiddie County).
