John Schallhorn

John Irwin Schallhorn, 75, of Prince George County, died on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Michigan and was the son of the late Irwin Otto and Ruth Margaret Dean Schallhorn and was the widower of Sharon Larue Schallhorn. Mr. Schallhorn was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a retired employee of Blue Cross and Blue Shield and was a member of Lutheran Church of our Redeemer, Petersburg. He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Ann Ovenshire and husband, Terry of Henrietta, New York; two sons, Charles Dean Schallhorn of Hollister, California, and Tyler John Schallhorn of Alexandria, Virginia; one grandson, Ryan Ovenshire of Henrietta, New York; one sister, Elizabeth Ruth Talbot and husband, Richard of Bay City, Michigan. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 South Crater Road, 23805.
