Johnny Slaughter, 61, of South Chesterfield, VA, passed away on May 4, 2024. Johnny was born in Petersburg, VA, and was known for his vibrant sense of humor, love of music and playing it loud, his love of the outdoors, fishing and hunting with his cousin Randy, love of classic muscle cars, and various sports. He had a special talent for storytelling and enjoyed sharing his animated stories with his loved ones and friends. Johnny was not a man who talked a lot but his presence said so much without speaking.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Edwina; son, Daniel; daughter, Amber; sister-in-law, Kathy; two nephews, Kyle (Raven) and Tres'; niece, Kaitlyn (Caleb); three great nephews, Caden, Maverick, and Miles; and four great nieces, Nylah, Auden, Rylee, and Kynlee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Grace Slaughter.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
Johnny will be deeply missed by all who loved him, and his memory will be cherished by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
