John Wehrenberg

John M. Wehrenberg, age 83 of Adams, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at his home. Mr. Wehrenberg was born December 25, 1927 in Davidson County to the late John Matthew and Eva Ethel Wehrenberg, Sr. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Clarksville. He was a graduate of John Tyler College in Chester, VA and was retired from the city of Colonial Heights, VA. He was a veteran of the United States Army with 28 years of service in which he received 5 Bronze Star Medals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Nease Wehrenberg; and sisters, Callie Elizabeth Hager and Mary Emma Hager. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Stuard Wehrenberg of Adams, step-sons, Richie (Kathy) Stuard of Clarksville, Ronnie Stuard of Johnson City, Larry (Cathy) Stuard of Adams, and Phillip (Terry) Stuard of Adams; brother and sister - in-law, Thomas Milton and Trudy Wehrenberg of Jeffersonville, IN; and sister and brother-in-law, Charlene Marie and Frank Brazell of Columbia, SC. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday February 14, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard 23834. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. the day of the service.
