John “Johnny” Thomas Belvin, 74 of Church Road, passed away peacefully at his home, Thursday, February 4, 2021. He was born October 26, 1946 to the late Ollie and Kathleen Spain Belvin. Johnny was also preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Garrett. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Paige Belvin; two sons, John L. Belvin (Nancy) and Joel T. Belvin (Michelle); one grandson, Jonathan Belvin; three granddaughters, Jessika Belvin, Nalani Belvin, and Wanda Belvin; two sisters, Shirley Fuller (Joey) and Patsy Clary (Jodie); mother-in-law, Frances Cole (Jerry); sister-in-law, April Wrenn (Darryl); and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Johnny enjoyed being an amateur radio operator, with the call letters WB4EZ. He was an ultralight pilot enthusiast. Johnny may be best known for his auto mechanic work, which he took pride in passing his knowledge along to his sons. He will be missed by all who knew him. Johnny’s remains will rest from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be private.
