Johnnie Marvin Wright, 70, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at his residence. Born in Byron, Georgia, he was the son of the late William A. and Sarah M. Wright, and was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth D. Stainback, and a brother, William A. Wright Jr. Mr. Wright was a United States Air Force veteran, a member of the Colonial Heights American Legion Post #284, where he worked Bingo and the Lucky 7 game, the 40&8 Voiture #1530, and the Southern Nights Cruisers Car Club. He is survived by his wife, Nancy W. Wright; a daughter, Jeanette W. Riggins and husband, Brian; a son, Tracy Len Stainback and wife, Heather; grandchildren, Steven, Jonathon, Hunter and Jacob Stainback and Travis Riggins; sisters, Ruby Bass and husband, Bill and Ruth Harrell and husband, Jeptha; brother-in-law, Richard M. Whorley; sisters-in-law, Margie Walker and Grace Wilson and husband, Jerry; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Spencer Costello officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. An American Legion Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2015, with visitation to follow until 3:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
