Johnny “Blocker” Goddard, 63, began his new adventures Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his one true love, his loving wife of 5 years, Evelyn “Poony” Goddard; his mini-me son, John David (JD) Goddard Jr, his pride and joy, Lena Rose Goddard; brothers, Lloyd Goddard and Mark Goddard (Debbie); nieces; extended family; and of course, MANY special hunting, fishing, card playing, pool playing friends.
He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Even though he was gruff and grizzly on the outside, his heart as he would say “was as big as his head.” He never knew a stranger and could be counted on without fail.
Besides his numerous hobbies and interests he was a member of the Littleton Hunt Club, Matoaca Sportsman Club, American Legion Post 2, Colonial Heights Moose, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
The family would like to thank the Chippenham Medical Surgical Trauma ICU team for their great compassion and care of him and his family.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
