It is with great sorrow and joy to announce that my beautiful husband and best friend, John (Ricky) Paulette of Dinwiddie, has gone to be with our Lord January 27, 2022.
Rick was a beloved husband to Nancy Paulette for 26 years, a Papa to his great niece, who he raised and loved with all of his heart. He worked at Philip Morris for over 20 years before starting his own business, building a storage unit from the ground up. He was a good friend to many and a hard worker at everything he did. He was involved with the community providing help to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in the area and many local churches and those less fortunate.
He had a passion for racing, which he did from 1995 to the early 2000's, and hunting. He was a member of the Ole Henry Hunt Club and was surrounded by his fellow hunters that loved him to the end.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Paulette and mother Gloria Dean Paulette. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Paulette, his uncles Mac and Les Fowler, brother Greg Paulette and Cheryl, niece Amanda Sprouse, 3 great nieces and many family members that loved him dearly.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date.
Romans 8:38 and 39
"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers to come, nor powers, nor height not depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus or Lord."
