Jordan Toone Jr.

Jordan Anderson Toone Jr, 92, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was born March 29, 1921 to the late Jordan A. Toone Sr., and Myra Whitmore Toone, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith T. Reavis and Rebecca T. Caldwell. Mr. Toone was a retired machinist from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Martha V. Toone; a son Robert G. Toone Sr., and wife, Linda F. Toone, three grandchildren; Tracy Humphrey, Robert G. Toone Jr., and Adrienne M. Southworth; four great-grandchildren, and one sister, Sudie Grow. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 in Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia with the Reverend Dr. John P. Mason officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence of Mrs. Toone. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church 3120 Woodlawn Avenue Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
