Joseph Foresta

Joseph P. Foresta, 87, of Florida, formerly of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011. He was the son of the late James and Rosemary Foresta and the widower of Mechelina C. Foresta. Mr. Foresta was a WW II United States Navy Veteran; he was a member of the American Legion Post #284 and Post #0273, and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his son, Vincent M. Foresta and wife, Sue of Petersburg, Joseph P. Foresta of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Joseph Foresta of Petersburg, Richard Foresta of Raleigh, North Carolina, Michael Foresta of Melbourne, Florida, Nicholas Foresta of Melbourne, Florida, and Tony Foresta of Richmond; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Samuel Foresta of Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment private.
