Joseph John Hotz, 93, of Chesterfield, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Chippenham Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1923 in Chesterfield County, Virginia to the late Charles Edward Hotz and Anne Marie Blaha Hotz. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Virostek Hotz; daughter, Patricia H. Paschall, brothers, Rudy Hotz and Charles Hotz, Sister, Catherine Wargofcak. He was a lifelong member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Colonial Heights and the Chesterfield Tractor Club. He is survived by a daughter, Mary A. Holt and husband, Raymond of Colonial Heights; a son-in-law, Ronald James Paschall of Chesterfield; four grandchildren, Tammy Barry, Kimberly Estabrooks (Chris), Kathleen Cain and Michael Holt; three great-grandchildren, Maya Cain, Hailey Cain and Rylie Estabrooks; brother, Frank Hotz and wife, Jacqueline of Chester; two sisters, Betty Michalek of Chester and Rosemary H. S. Scarborough and numerous nieces, nephews and a devoted friend Paul. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights with Fr. Danny Cogut as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends Monday, January 23, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers or contributions may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church Our Daily Bread Pantry. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
