Joseph Kadzis

Joseph E. Kadzis, 85, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2009. Mr. Kadzis was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, V. F. W., D. A. V., American Legion, the Retired Officers Association and the Knights of Columbus. He was predeceased by a son, Dr. George J. Kadzis. Survivors include his wife, Hazel J. Kadzis; two sons, Arlington "Joseph" Kadzis of Texas, and Wayne Usina of Florida; two daughters, Cynthia Defoe of Florida, and Gigi Jeanette Roberts and husband, Greg of the Bahamas; daughter-in-law, Barbara Kadzis of Florida; sisters, Mildred Whelly of New York, Frances Dibartolomeo of New York, and Mary Kristie and husband, Walt of South Carolina; eighteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with Fr. Lou Ruoff as celebrant. Interment at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church.
