Joseph Massey

Joseph E. Massey Sr., 66, of Petersburg, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 at his residence. He was the son of the late Harvey L. and Frances Butler Fisher. Mr. Massey was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church. He was retired from Hon Company in Chester and had a small freelance photography business in the seventies. Mr. Massey is survived by his loving wife, Mary Sue Massey; two sons, Joseph E. Massey Jr. and Joshua A. Massey; daughter, Julie A. Massey, all of Petersburg; two brothers, Frank Fisher of Richmond, and Bubba Massey of Petersburg; and a sister, Betty Sue Massey of Petersburg. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Western Heights Baptist Church, 24416 Cox Rd., Petersburg with the Reverend Jonathan Dundalow officiating. Interment in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 7-8:30 pm at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
