Joseph "Pop" Albert Moody Sr., 75, of DeWitt passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 in Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Petersburg, he was son of the late McKinley and Pauline Brooks Moody. He was a retired machinist for Titmus Optical and was a member of the Dinwiddie Moose and the H.O.G. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Molly Moody; sons Joseph Albert Moody, Jr. and Johnny Lee Moody Sr. and wife Princess all of Dinwiddie; four grandchildren, Crystal Moody, Crissy Moody, Johnny Moody, Jr. and Kati Moody; sisters Lorraine Vaughan of Colonial Heights and Lilly Mae Rinker of Chester; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by twin brother Thomas Moody and sister, Gloria Jean Elder. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 24, 2013 in the Petersburg Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
