Joseph Moore

Joseph Alan Moore, 58, of S. Prince George passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 30, 2023. Born November 9, 1964, he was the son of Sherry Elaine Rasmus and the late Don Rasmus, and was also preceded in death by his brother, Adam Rasmus; and father-in-law, Clayton G. Smith.

Joseph worked as a painter for over 30 years, working for many various companies and ultimately for himself. He loved cooking for his family, and was an avid dart player, playing for Central Virginia Dart Association. He loved watching his favorite college football team, University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), and enjoyed following the Miami Dolphins. He was an animal lover, especially dogs. Joseph could always be found at the Exxon gas station in the mornings drinking coffee and preparing for his day.

He is survived by loving wife of 21 years, Laura Ann Moore; favorite daughter, Alexandra Paige Moore; mother, Sherry Elaine Rasmus; sister, Kelly Rasmus; mother-in-law, Julia R. Smith; beloved furry four-legged baby, Dakota; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
