Joseph Perkins

Joseph Logan Perkins 92, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Chippenham Medical Center. He was born November 22, 1924 to the late Harvey W. and Julia McGlothlin Perkins. Mr. Perkins was a WW II., United States Navy Veteran, and retired after 28 years of services with the Bureau of Prisons. He was a member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church, Blandford Masonic Lodge #3, the Colonial Heights American Legion Post 284, and was a past Commander of Ettrick American Legion Post. Mr. Perkins was a former realter in the area for over 13 years. He is survived by his wife Barbara B. Perkins, children, Steven Perkins and wife Janice of Chesterfield, Susan Moneymaker of Colonial Heights, Donna Perkins of Colonial Heights, Jolie Kump and husband Howard of S. Chesterfield, Julie Henderson of Colonial Heights; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother Gene Perkins and wife, Ann of Natural Bridge. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 2834. Funeral services will be Private.
