Joseph Perkinson Sr.

Joseph Sterling Perkinson Sr., 83, of Colonial Heights passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Colonial Heights Health Care Center. Mr. Perkinson was a member of Colonial Heights Moose and an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for fifty years. Mr. Perkinson was preceded in death by his parents, William Noel Perkinson and Grace Austin Perkinson, our beloved mother, Mary D. Perkinson and his second wife, Margaret Sue Berryman. Mr. Perkinson is survived by his children, Linda Gail Blaha and husband, Charles F.; Joseph "Jay" Sterling Perkinson Jr. and wife, Donna Hare; Brenda P. Criswell and husband, David L.; Phillip E. Perkinson and wife, Sheri Uzzle.; four grandchildren, Amy Blaha Everett and husband, Chris; Joseph "Buck" Perkinson and wife, Heather; Craig D. Perkinson, and Ashley R. Whitehead; and four great-grandchildren, Laine and Alexis Everett and Samantha and Kyle Epperly. A devoted friend, Charles Reynolds. A graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 8, 2011 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George County, with Pastor Michael Buckley officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 7, 2011 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard 23834.
