Joseph Randolph “Randy” Joyner, Jr., 69, of Petersburg, VA, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. He was born in Prince George, VA on November 13, 1955.
Randy was a man of many passions, with a lifelong love for motorcycles and cars. He started as a motorcross racer in his youth and carried that enthusiasm into riding and working on bikes throughout his life. His Mustang was another of his prized possessions. Randy also enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with his family, who meant the world to him. He shared a special bond with his beloved cat, "G." Randy’s love for life and those around him will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Mamie Joyner; maternal grandparents, William Thomas and Mary Lou Webster; and a cousin, Robert Joyner. He is survived by his sons, Joseph R. “Jay” Joyner, III and Michael A. Joyner (Kianna); parents, Joseph R. Joyner, Sr. and Joyce Webster Joyner; granddaughter, Emmalyn Joyner; sister, Wanda Vaughan (Charles); brother, Paul Joyner; niece, Nicole Walker; nephew, C.J. Vaughan; cousin, Thomas Wolosuk; and many other extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024, in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, VA 23805. Arrangements are by the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes.
