Joseph Vest

Joseph Raymond Vest, 84, of Chesterfield passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Chippenham Hospital. Born July 13, 1933, he was the son of the late Joseph and Nola Vest, and was also preceded in death by his sisters, Irene Bishop, Mary Brooks, and Rachel Owens. Joseph was a United States Navy Veteran, having served during the Korean War Conflict. After over 40 years of service, he retired from Phillip Morris as a Master Machinist. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Virginia Ercelle Vest; son, Robert Vest and wife, Tamara; daughters, Lesa Leimberger and husband, Henry, Nancy Hicks and husband, Archie; six grandchildren, Mindi Bowser and husband, Donny, Wayne Casuccio, Mary Williams and husband, Harry, Tyler Leimberger, Neil Elko, Zachary Elko; three great-grandchildren, Silver and Liam Bowser, Harry "Joseph" Williams; sister, Barbara Seymour; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday night, October 19, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
