Josephine Jessup

Josephine Brooks Jessup, 94, our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Fannie Hundley Brooks, and was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Daniel Jessup; two daughters, Helen Hall and Marie Scott; a grandson, Daniel Paul Henderson; and her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Jessup was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters, Josephine (Josie) Henderson of Colonial Heights, Barbara J. Bradley and husband John; of Concord, North Carolina, and June J. Smith and husband Buddy; of Matoaca; grandchildren, Glen Wells Jr., Stephanie Rose and husband, Charles, Brian Bradley and wife, Natalie, Joseph Smith and wife, Jessica, Tara Cothren and husband, Adam; Stephanie Hall; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Robin Lester officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
