Joyce Miles

Joyce Caudle Miles, 73, of Dinwiddie, formerly of Richmond, died Thursday, July 29, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Jones Caudle Sr. and Lillian Mann Caudle, and was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis W. Miles Sr., brothers, Lewis J. Caudle Jr., and Victor E. Caudle Sr., and sisters, Margie C. Hester, and Marie E. Rowe. Mrs. Miles worked for the State Department of Education in Richmond until her retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Miles Wright (Buddy) of Dinwiddie; a step-son, Lewis W. Miles Jr. of Richmond; grandchildren, Charles W. Meeks III (Crystal), Jacob C. Wright, Jeanette I. Howerton, Jennifer Pearce and Jeffery Miles; great-grandsons, Charlie Meeks, and Will Miles; a brother, Luther L. Caudle. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 in the Chesterfield Baptist Church Cemetery, 16520 Hull Street Road, Moseley, Virginia 23120 with the Reverend David Engleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
