Joyce Perkinson

Joyce Lee Perkinson, 72, of Prince George, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her father Melvin Fine, her husband Raymond Joseph Perkinson, one sister Peggy Scott, and one brother Melvin Fine Jr. Joyce was a loving caregiver to many people, she enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Ruritan Club. She is survived by a daughter, Alease Perkinson; a step-son, Michael Thomas Perkinson; two grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Perkinson and Courtney Leigh Perkinson; a great-grandson, Carter Joseph Perkinson; her mother, Virginia Fine; a brother, Frank Fine; her special devoted friend, Kenneth E. Walpole; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Craig Buxton, officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome, or contributions may be made to Crater Community Hospice 3916 S.
