Judy Jenkins King

Judy Jenkins King, 71, of Dinwiddie County, VA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene F. and Minnie W. Maitland of Dinwiddie. She leaves behind her spouse, Shane Shrieves of Dinwiddie; three children, Dr. Tara Garrison (Steve) of Colonial Heights, Shannon Arrant (Steve) of Prince George, and Richard Crump (Rebecca) of Dinwiddie; one brother, Ret. Col. Jerry L. Jenkins (Ret. Capt., USPHS Bujean) of Rogersville, TN; one nephew, Joe Jenkins of Virginia Beach; one niece, Leigh Jenkins of Uvalde, TX; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, Kelly, Jenny, Matthew, Jonathan, Sara, and Jessica; three great-grandchildren, Travis, Lily, and Avery; and her father and mother-in-law, William F. Shrieves and Margaret Diane Leveridge.

Judy had many passions and loves in her life. From her four-legged son, Teddy, to her grandchildren, for whom she adored. She spent many years crafting and serving as a member of The Women of The Moose, through where she met the love of her life, Shane, 27 years ago. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to Southampton Rehab staff for their compassionate care.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at The Heights Baptist Church, 17201 US-1, S. Chesterfield, VA 23834. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory.
