Julia Newsome

Julia Mae Newsome, 77, of Colonial Heights, passed away May 13, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Rossie W. and Annie Darden Brock. Mrs. Newsome was preceded in death by her husband, James Everette Newsome; son, Joseph E. Newsome; sister, Tricia Stultz and a brother, Richard Brock. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Newsome and wife, Judy, of Dinwiddie, William Newsome and wife, Cindy of Colonial Heights; two daughters, Judyth Conklin and husband, Willard of Colonial Heights, Janet Brewer and husband, William of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Wayne Newsome II., Kelle Newsome, Robert Newsome, Thomas Newsome, James Newsome, Jeremy Gillespie, Mistie Williams; great grandson, Hunter Williams; three sisters, Virginia Outland and husband, Thomas of Newsoms Virginia, Nannie Engstrom and husband, Dick of New York, Louise Lee and husband, Frank of Boykins, Virginia; brother, Rossie Brock of Franklin, Virginia, numerous nieces, nephews and a devoted friend, Margaret Fisher. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard 23834, with the Reverend Robert F. Cofield Jr., and Chaplain Don Phelps officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 3-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
