June Parker Bryant, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at her home following a courageous battle with a long term illness. She was born November 14, 1937 to the late Lewis J. Parker and Mary H. Parker, and grew up in Smithfield, Virginia. June was preceded in death by her daughter, Bobbi Jo Bryant. She was united in marriage to Carl "Pete" Bryant and later made her home in Dinwiddie and Chesterfield. June and Pete were the longtime owners of Pete's Car Clinic in Colonial Heights before retiring. She is survived by her husband, Carl "Pete" Bryant; son, James "Rick" Bryant and wife, Wendy; daughter, Tami Fry and husband, Jesse; two grandchildren, Heather Jordan and Kendall Bryant, all of Chesterfield; sister, Jenay Olinger; nephews; other relatives and many friends. A funeral service will be held on 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend David Prather officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in Mill Swamp Cemetery Ivor, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday, March 11, 2011 from 7:00-8:30 at the funeral home.
