Justine Putney

Justine Kotasek Putney, 83, of South Chesterfield, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018. Born on January 23, 1935 in Hopewell, she was the daughter of the late Charles Frank and Justine Frodl Kotasek, and was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Kotasek Ohlendorf. Mrs. Putney was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the President of the Engelbert's Vagabonds Fan Club, and a retired Corporate Secretary with Whitehead Leach Construction Company in Richmond.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen P. Lawson; grandchildren, Crystal J. Barnhill, Virginia E. Livingston, and Chelsea M. Lawson; great-grandchildren, Rebecca E. Phillips, Michael L. Castle, and Virginia J. "Teenie" Castle; a sister, Lillian K. Simonelli and her husband, Chester P. Simonelli; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, S. Chesterfield, Virginia 23834 with Father Danny Cogut, and Deacon Edward Hanzlik Celebrants. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
