Karl Finley Saunders

Karl Finley Saunders, 69, of Colonial Heights, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024. He was born March 23, 1954 to the late Finley Lee and Lucy Ann Thompson Saunders, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Saunders Underwood, a brother Randy Saunders and a sister, Mona Cole.  Karl was a United States Army Veteran having served in Korea, and Japan and was employed by Atlantic Constructors of Richmond as a Warehouse supervisor. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights, the Dinwiddie Moose Lodge 1993 and the APA Association.  Karl is survived by his loving wife, Claudette Mann Saunders, daughters AnnMarie Saunders, Rachel Saunders Atristian, Stephanie Morrissette, Kristy Saunders, Claudia Reynolds,(Ricky) two sons Ronnie Moore,(Bing), Jamie Moore, grandchildren, Madison Mundy, Cheyenne Saunders, Owen Riddle, Kayleigh Riddle, Derek Riddle, McKenzie Morrissette, William Morrisette, Joey Walker, Lucy Underwood, Jr. Underwood, Brooke Bordonie, Mychaela Reynolds (Devin), Alyssa Reynolds, Kamryn Reynolds, Jade Moore, Jamison Moore, Patience Connelly, great-grandchildren, Halston Grubbs, Xander, Nixon, Jaxon Connelly and one brother Charles Anthony Saunders.  A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2023 at Wesley United Methodist Church 3701 Conduit Road Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Terry Clark and the Reverend Terri Swindell officiating.  Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park S. Prince George, Virginia.  The family will receive friends Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
