Kate Jolly

Kate S. Jolly, 84, of McKenney, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Esther Smith Stratton, and was preceded in death by her first husband, Thurman Francis Sharpe. Mrs. Jolly is survived by her husband, Jay Jolly; children, Thurman Sharpe and wife, Sharon of Michigan, Marilyn Bennett and husband, John of Hopewell, Sandra Bullard and husband, Kevin of Chesterfield, Stephen Sharpe and wife, Wendy of Prince George, and Cynthia O'Bier of Maryland; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Craig Stratton and Cameron Stratton; sisters, Olive Hamm, Phyllis Pierson; and her special caregiver, Amanda Roney. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory, 3935 S Crater Rd Petersburg, VA 23805. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, South Prince George. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
