Katherine Hill

Katherine E. Hill, 91, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Dinwiddie County, she was the daughter of the late Bernard W. and Bernice Meredith Echols, and the widow of Charles Orville Hill. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Davis (her twin) and Nellie Lyons. Mrs. Hill is survived by her daughters, Cathy H. Bishop of Richmond, Cindy Hatzisavvas of Burlington, North Carolina and Patricia A. Hill of Richmond; five grandchildren, Ryan Stuckey, Lloyd Bishop III, Phillip Bishop, Eleni Hatzisavvas and Michael Hatzisavvas; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Inez Loftis of Petersburg; nephews, John Davis Jr. and John Wayne Loftis; and a niece, Inez Baldwin. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
