Katherine Walker

Katherine O. Walker 90, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Colonial Heights Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born in South Boston, she was the daughter of the late Raleigh E. and Bessie Willis Osborne, and the widow of CW04 Bailey T. Walker Sr. United States Army (ret.). Mrs. Walker was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, and was very active in the Officer's Wives Club at Fort Lee and Bellwood. She is survived by two sons, Bailey T. Walker Jr. of Falls Church and Edward R. Walker and wife, Elizabeth of Colonial Heights; a daughter, Nancy Eastwood and husband, Craig of Shady Side, Maryland; three granddaughters, Amanda W. Nicholas and husband, Dwight of Glen Allen, Dottie Groves of Shady Side, Maryland, and Beth Hyman of Lugoff, South Carolina; a great-grandson, Nathan Nicholas of Glen Allen; a brother, Col Edward W. Osborne USAF (ret.) and wife, Shirlee of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and a sister, Jenny O. Wilkins of South Boston. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with Father Jay Biber, and Father Lou Ruoff as Celebrants. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
