Kathleen Harris

Kathleen C. "Cap" Harris, 92, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Roanoke, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Everette E. and Inez Humphries Caffrey, and the widow of Clarence W. Harris Sr. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Everette Earl Caffrey and John W. Caffrey, and two sisters, Violet Caffrey "Sissy" Wray and Alice Caffrey Weathers. Mrs. Harris was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Petersburg. She is survived by her daughter, Annette H. Brockwell and husband, Alfred Earl of Petersburg; a son, Clarence W. Harris Jr. and wife, Denise R. of Tuttle, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Lynette Droddy, Lynda Lewis, Glynn Brockwell, Richard and James Harris; seven great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Harriet Caffrey Moore of Petersburg, Barbara Caffrey Cummings of Dinwiddie, and Jean Caffrey Wolfrey of Petersburg; and a brother, Franklin Terry "Sonny" Caffrey of South Carolina. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at Southside Baptist Church, 2007 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 with the Reverend Arthur D. Lands officiating. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of the E.
