Kathleen Wells Odenwelder 91, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday March 12, 2010 at Southside Regional Medical Centers. She was born March 7, 1919 in Petersburg Virginia. Mrs. Odenwelder was the daughter of Harvey S. and Clara Smith Wells, and the widow of Donald Odenwelder. She was also preceded in death by a son Robert "Moe" Odenwelder, brothers Russell Wells, Robert S. "Red" Wells and a sister Winifred Wells. Mrs. Odenwelder was a long time resident of Colonial Heights, and a retired Civil Service worker at Fort Lee. She was a Charter member of Faith Lutheran Parrish in Prince George. Surviors include two sons James Odenwelder of Colonial Heights, Jerry D. Odenwelder and wife Ronda of Jamestown North Carolina, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister Carolyn W. Hile of Colonial Heights, brothers Rudolph S. Wells and wife Betty of Hopewell, Harvey S. "Billy" Wells and wife Shirley of Sutherland, Virginia. A funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. March 16, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Bishop Troy A. Katichen officiating.
