Kathy Winters

Kathy D. Winters, 62, of Chesterfield, was called home on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Jean Livesey. She was a member of Destiny Church in Chesterfield and was a Registered Nurse for 41 years. Kathy loved being outdoors and gardening and enjoyed her cabin at the beach. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Heather Stone and fiancé, Matthew Kevin Opland; two sons, James Michael Stone Jr. and wife, Courtney Dawn Stone and Samuel Christopher Stone and wife, Kristin Stone; grandchildren, Christian Noble Montgomery Hill, Heaven Leean Stone, Autumn Riley Hutchins, Kaydance Marie Reid and Sawyer Stone; her parents, Duel Ryon Ballard II and Nathalie Ballard; two brothers, Duel Ryon Ballard III and wife, Lori and Cameron Joseph Ballard and wife, Jill; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and two loving pets, Jake and Sophie. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Bishop Dayton Birt and Pastor Jeff Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
