Katie Gill

Mrs. Katie Bradley Gill, 94, formerly of Ettrick, died Thursday, June 4, 2009 in Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. She was daughter of the late Frank L. and Sue Daphne Sadler Bradley, and the widow of John Estes Gill Jr. Mrs. Gill was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Matoaca. She is survived by four sons, John Estes Gill III and wife, Carole of Williamsburg, David L. Gill and wife, Judy of Chesterfield, Stephen B. Gill of Richmond, and Richard O. Gill and wife, Ann of Chesterfield; a sister, Helen B. Hardy of Colonial Heights; four grandchildren, Kim Bracy, John Gill IV, Tim Gill, and Chris Gill; seven great-grandchildren, Bret and Brittany Bracy, Hunter, Jackson, Matthew, Harrison, and Keller Gill. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Wayne Lowe and the Reverend James Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt.
