Katrina Cardwell

Katrina Ranee O'Hara Cardwell, 50, of Colonial Heights, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Born in Atwater, California she was the daughter of Rita G. O'Hare and the late Jack L. O'Hare. Katrina was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elwood P. Rase, and Della J. Unruh; and her maternal grandparents, Albert G. Campbell, and Rita Marlene Tanji. Katrina was a member of The Heights Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. She loved the beach, camping, and gardening. She was also an excellent cook. Most of all, Katrina loved her family and was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and worship music. Katrina graduated from Colonial Heights High School in 1986. She worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in Richmond, Virginia for 14 years. Katrina attended Bible College at Life Christian University for 3 years where she majored in Christian Education. She received an Associates Degree in Theology. Katrina loved to help people. Katrina and her husband Ron started a ministry in California called "House of Bread" where they gave supplies and food to the homeless. Her desire was to share the love of Jesus with whomever she could. Katrina was a wonderful and beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece and cousin. She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 23 years, Ronald L. Cardwell; children, Jeremy Lee Cardwell, and Noah Christian Cardwell; sister, Tovie L. Barnett; a niece, mother-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins in Virginia and California. A Memorial Service time has not been determined and will be announced at a later date.
