Kelly Laplante

Kelly Emile Laplante, 46, of Dinwiddie, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013. He was born August 12, 1966 to the late Emile and Jeanine Madore Laplante. Mr. Laplante was a certified pipe welder for many companies and owned his own business Laplante's Welding and Repair. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Laplante; daughter, Nena Laplante; sister, Lynn Clay and husband, Thomas; brothers, Luke Laplante and wife, Lynne, Jesse Laplante and Beth; nieces and nephews, Justin Story, Zachary Laplante, Heather Laplante, Nicholas Laplante, Elise Mack, Dana Laplante, Thomas Reed Clay Jr., Justin Clay, and Evan Clay. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Tuesday July 9, 2013 in Covenant Presbyterian Church, 201 Walnut Boulevard, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 with the Reverend Dr. Donald Steele officiating. Following the memorial service on Tuesday a gathering of family and friends will take place at the family residence at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Nena Laplante College Fund c/o the Bank of McKenney any location.
