Kenneth Hope

Kenny Wayne Hope, 61, of Colonial Heights passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at his home. Born August 17, 1956, he was the son of the late Kenneth James and Charlotte Jean Hope, and was also preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Jean Hope Trammell. Kenny worked for Asplundh Tree Experts for 39 years and also for Suitt Construction for a short time. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Eagles #882, American Legion Post #2, and the Dinwiddie Moose #1993. He is survived by his loving wife, Mitzi Jean Vaughan; daughters, Tiffany Lynn Hope, Crystal Leeann Hope; grandchildren, Alana, Tareke, Terence, Devyn; sister, Elizabeth Diane Hope; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the Shriner's Children Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
