Kerry Roney, 57, of Prince George, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his residence. He was the son of the late Thomas Edgar Roney. Kerry was the owner and operator of the Prince George Shell Station. He started working at that gas station (formally Texaco) at the early age of nineteen. He was very much loved by his family and the community. Kerry was a very generous person, supporting many events in the surrounding counties, donating his time and mechanical expertise to many family and friends and he never met a stranger. He is survived by his mother Irie Jeanette Roney of Prince George; sisters Evelyn "Punkin" Burnside and husband Chee of Montana; Rise Talley and husband Glenn of Prince George; his favorite nephew, Thomas "Ty" Talley and his wife Sara of Prince George; favorite oldest niece, DJ" Stoerkel of Texas; favorite youngest nice, Nicole Stoerkel of Arizona; three truly great nieces along with extended family. Family by choice, "brothers" "Pig" Little, John Speckerman and "sister" Judy Edwards. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Carson Volunteer Fire Department or the Prince George Animal Shelter. Services will be private.
