Kevin Allen

Kevin Leith Allen, 49, of Henrico, formally of Petersburg, passed away January 29, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father Hollis Ray Allen. Kevin was a musician, and was the lead guitarist and vocalist for the Singing River Band. He is survived by his sons Carlyle "Lyle" Allen of Henrico, Robert "Robbie" Myers of Matoaca; mother Betty Allen of Colonial Heights, brothers James D. Allen and wife, Debra K. of Colonial Heights, Robert W. Allen and wife, AnnMarie of Colonial Heights, sister Margaret A. Howell and husband R.D. of Danville, two grandchildren Brittney and Kayla Myers, his lifetime love Brigitte Synowski Allen,of Petersburg,and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday February 2, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard 23834, with Fr. Lou Ruoff officiating. Interment Private. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Petersburg Salvation Army, 1228 S.
