Kevin Ferguson

Kevin Olin Ferguson, 49, died Sunday February 1, 2009, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn C. Ferguson, of Chesterfield; his son, James Olin Ferguson, of Chesterfield; and his parents, J. Olin and Patricia Ferguson, of Colonial Heights; two sisters, Shari Ferguson Stevens and husband Ralph, his niece Molly N. Stevens, of Norfolk, Laura Beth Ferguson Louthan and husband Richard Louthan, of Chesterfield; his nieces and nephew, Emily Beth Demeo, Annie Grace Louthan, Ty Louthan of Chesterfield. Kevin is also survived by his step-children, Elaine Kelly Winfree and husband Keven Winfree, of Prince George, and Samuel A. Kelly of Petersburg, and two grandchildren, E. Grace Winfree and Cameron M. Kelly. He is also survived by many life-long friends. Kevin was a 1977 graduate of Colonial Heights High School, a 1981 graduate of Richard Bland College, and a 1983 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. He was employed as a Physical Education teacher for over twenty four years at Walton Elementary School in Prince George County, where he also coached football and baseball for many years, and was currently the JV baseball coach. The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday February 4, 2009 at the Colonial Heights chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard, with a memorial service following the visitation, In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Prince George High School Athletic Association Baseball Program 7801 Laurel Springs Road Prince George, Va. 23875
