Kimberly Rager

Kimberly P. Rager, 70, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Oscar G. "Flinky" Piland and Mildred "Mickey" Barnes Piland. Mrs. Rager graduated from Petersburg General Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a RN for over 40 years. She is survived by her husband Melvin H. Rager; children, Shannon Rager of Hopewell, Michael Rager and wife, Lisa Wright Rager of Richmond; one brother, Budd Piland and wife, Carol of Riner, Va.; nieces Erica-Leigh Rainey and husband, J.P., Nicole Butt and husband, Aaron; Kimberly Piland, Lindsey Piland, and nephew Matt Piland and wife Amber. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Dr. Andy Brockelman officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday April 7, 2012 from 3-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
