Kyle Ambers Miller, 77, of Prince George, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Southerland Place, Midlothian. He was the son of the late Mont C. and Elsie Mary Miller. Mr. Miller was a founding member of St. Andrews Charismatic Episcopal Church where he served on the Rectors Council. He was a retired Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He served during the Korean Conflict and overseas in Japan and the Philippines. He was a member of the Petersburg American Legion Post #2, and a devoted volunteer with the American Red Cross in many capacities for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Miller; three daughters, Kim M. Cunningham and husband, Wayne of Disputanta, Nina Miller Whittleton of Chester, and Joanne Miller Mason and husband, Chris of Chester; two grandsons, Chase Colston of Arlington, and Kurt Whittleton of Chester; three granddaughters, Sydney Colston of Disputanta, Kelsey Whittleton of Chester, and Brooke Ezzell of Chester; great-grandson, Kevin Colston-Reyes of Disputanta. He is survived by his many loving siblings as well as two caring "sons," Jim Whittleton and Chuck Colston and a host of friends. The family would like to extend a special "thank you "to the caring staff of Southerland Place. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2009 at St. Andrews Church, 2460 County Drive, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 with Father Jon Jackson officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Andrews Charismatic Episcopal Church.
