Larry W. Brown

Larry W. Brown, 81, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Born on September 10, 1943 in Rixeyville, VA, he was the son of the late John Silas Brown and Laura Ruth Woodward Brown. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Hicks, and his brother, John Silas Brown, Jr. 

Larry served in the United States Army and dedicated many years to the service. He retired as Sergeant First Class – Military Police. After his retirement in the Army, he then went to work as a sales associate for Trophies Unlimited in Midlothian, VA for many years. In his free time, Larry was an avid bowler and golfer. He also loved to play poker (Texas Hold’em) with his many friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia Haley Brown; son, Larry Joe Brown and wife, Michelle of Titusville, FL; daughter, Patricia Braley and husband, Shawn of Ghent, NY; son, Jeffery Brown and wife, Anita of Ghent, NY; son, Mark Brown of Chesterfield, VA; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Diana Parks and husband, Eddie of Leesburg, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Interment will be private. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
