Larry Dean Corrigan, 49, of Colonial Heights, passed away in his sleep August 18, 2013 after enjoying a day of hunting while visiting family on a vacation in Texas. He was born in Prince George, to Lawrence H. Corrigan and the late Mildred Eubank Corrigan and was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Corrigan. Mr. Corrigan was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was employed as a field machinist with Honeywell in Hopewell. In addition to his father he is survived by his wife of twenty four years Diane DeBoer Corrigan of Colonial Heights; daughter Candice L. Corrigan of Cornelius, North Carolina; brother Jonathan "Pete" Corrigan and wife Angie of Disputanta; nephew Jonathan Corrigan, niece Elizabeth Corrigan; brother-in-laws Jay DeBoer and wife Dawn of Sutherland, and Dave DeBoer and companion Colleen Finchem of Ettrick; nieces Sydney and Skylar DeBoer, aunts Burma Harrison of Sutherland and Patricia Winiecke of Meadville, Pennsylvania; numerous cousins, extended family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his lifelong devoted friend, Paul Whelan, who has been on so many adventures with Larry. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday August 24, 2013 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be Private.
